Home / office tint benefits
Increase Privacy
Certain films will give a reflective look on the outside which makes it extremely difficult to see into the house.

Ultraviolet rays and infrared heat coupled with visible light is what causes your floor and textiles to fade, film reduces that significantly.
Save Energy
Reducing the amount of infrared heat and energy will allow your cooling system to not work as hard. Glass is the weakest part of energy efficiency.

FAQ
Can I add window tint to any time of glass in my home or business?
Certain types of glass like low e or triple pane glass can’t have certain window films. There are multiple variables that we need to take into account like shading and the direction the glass faces. This is why it is crucial to have a professional evaluate your energy savings options with window tint.
Can window film help lower my energy bills?
Yes! By reducing the amount of heat entering your home or business, window film decreases the workload on air conditioning systems, leading to lower cooling costs. Homeowners may be eligible for energy rebates and tax credits for adding window film to their homes. Give us a call or send an email to learn more.
How do I clean my tinted house windows?
Make sure to use a cleaner that states on the can or bottle, ammonia free or tint safe. Also, make sure to use a clean micro fiber or glass towel that doesn’t have anything sharp in it. The film isn’t bulletproof, so if something sharp enough touches it, it will scratch.
I don’t want my neighbors to see me, can window tint do that?
Not necessarily. Very reflective films work great for privacy but it all depends where the dominant light source is located. During the day, the sun is providing the light which gives the outside view a reflection, where at night, now the light is on the inside and people outside can now see in. To better understand this, reach out to professionals at Tintmasters to help.
I have blinds on my windows so why would I need window film?
Blinds are great for instant privacy and glare reduction, but the energy from the sun is still entering your home. If we took an infrared camera to your window during a sunny day with the blinds closed, you would see a ring of color showing the energy escaping around the blinds.
